WORK ETHICS AND PRODUCTIVITY IN BUSINESS ORGANIZATION IN NIGERIA (A CASE STUDY OF AQUA RAPHA INVESTMENT NIGERIA LIMITED, ENUGU)

ABSTRACT The major purpose of this study was to know “The Work Ethics and Productivity in Business Organizations in Nigeria. The population of the study consisted of one hundred and fifty (150) staff from the organization.  The sample for the study was 100 staff out of 150 staff.  Eight (8) research questions were formulated which guided the study.  A structured questionnaire was developed, validated and tested for its reliability. Percentages and tables were used to answer the research questions. The major findings, of the study were agreed by the majority of the staff that work ethics affects productivity or performance in business organizations in Nigeria.  Hence, work ethics has effect on employees performance in an organization. It was recommended that management should also embark on screening exercise, training and development of personnel, adequate creation of disciplinary measures etc, as tools to increase workers performance in an organization.
