ABSTRACT
Africa the cradle of civilization boasts of the best form of early life of human existence although if comparatively  analyses in present day human developmental indices Africa posses the poorest form of human situation, but the heritage  and traditions that still remains is a landmark which if retrace can produce and reproduce greatness and reduce the  exploitation of the Africa continent as a whole. This study tries to evaluate the extent of the formal western form of  education on the supposedly forerunner of the save Africa ideologist on one of the tradition that has kept us alive  million of years before the arrival of the Europeans in Africa , that is the use of traditional herbal medicine among  the Kogi State University Students.
