THE ROLE OF PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT IN MANPOWER TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

ABSTRACT This research work is an attempt to study, evaluate and analyze the training and development aspect of personnel in an organization as far as the research is concerned. The management of people at worth (manpower) is affected greatly by the attitude of employees, the activities of trade union and by the general level of economic activities and development. I will include subject like the problems of training and development of manpower, human relation and motivation. The aim of including them is to highlight the importance of the fact that, manpower function is not merely concerned with routine administration but has to do with other important areas that are fundamental to the development of an organization. The study is not exhaustive due to the time constrains on the course of its preparation but the writer has tried to highlight the major aspects of the scope and objective of training and development of manpower. somehow, it could still provide for an input to develop a deeper analysis on the subject matter. On so doing, this work has been grouped into three chapter beginning with chapter one, this chapter is meant to introduce the study.
