ABSTRACT
This is a research work on the role of commercial banks in financing small scale industries, a case study of UBA plc. It is aimed at ascertaining the extent that the union bank have help in financing the small scale industries. The area of study was union bank of African, (UBA) plc Enugu area, the method of data collection was by secondary method while the instrument for data collection was by literature review. In the analysis of data obtained through journals, test books etc. were used in analyzing the responses while chi – square statistical test was used in the testing of the null hypothesis formulated. It was established on the course of the study that the UBA plc only contributed very little to the small scale industries. It was also observed that the commercial banks have given the small scale industries a percentage amount on which they can grant loan form banks. The commercial bank could perform to revive the small scale industries in Nigeria so as to increase the economy of the country.    TABLE OF CONTENT
