THE PROBLEMS AND PROSPECT OF ESTABLISHING SMALL SCALE INDUSTRY (A CASE STUDY OF GARRI PROCESSING INDUSTRY ABAKPA NIKE, ENUGU)

ABSTRACT
This research is aimed at finding out the problems and prospect of establishing small scale industry. (A case study of Garri Processing in Abakpa Nike Enugu).  According to the analysis of the data collected of what the problems and prospect in establishing small scale industry with reference to the Garri processing industry in Abakpa Nike Enugu.  One has to understand why all the efforts aimed at increasing the rate of Garri processing or production has not yielded desired result which studies the business operation as for back as 1964.  The initial take off capital as N12,000 (Twelve Thousand Naira) including hand and building.  Also we have to bear in mind the feet that majority of our rural dwellers are financially handicapped and are therefore incapable of providing the much needed initials capital for the purchase of machinery and materials for the needed for the set off of this project.  To prevent problems and prospect in establishing small scale enterprises. Is to establish the causes of failure of these policies to colour the aims for which Garri satisfies the need of the people or to examine the marketing problem militating against adequate Garri processing industry at Abakpa Nike, Enugu and in the country.
