The Effects Of Child Labour On The Academic Performance Of School Children In Makindye Division, Kampala District Uganda

ABSTRACT

The topic of this study is investigating on the impact of child labor on the performance of

children in school. To accumulate factual data on this problem or detailed study was

justified; the researcher formulated questionnaires for the students of Kibuli SSS, found in

Kampala District.

The statistical analysis used the table to show the number of respondents, and their responses

and percentages. The results of the hypothesis were statistically significant because the whole

hypothesis which says that there were significant impact child labor on the performance of

children in school.

The research concludes that there are many impacts that have contributed to the increase of

child labor in Uganda. Therefore, the following recommendations are to be followed:

The Government of Uganda should sensitize the masses about the dangers of child labor.

The Government should also punish criminals of child labor such as step mother and other

relatives who mistreat the children.

The Government should also set up strict laws to protect children from child labor NGOs should help the children under child labor.
