ROLE OF HEALTH EDUCATION IN IMPROVING MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH CARE DELIVERY IN STATE AND PRIVATE HOSPITALS IN ABEOKUTA (#5457)

In this research work, one of such major issues- maternal and child health care-which have recorded the highest death rates in history of health was treated in detail though with a local scope. The study was carried out with reference to a location -Abeokuta, Ogun state Nigeria.
This research study like every other is made up of five chapters and contains all necessary sections needed for careful data analysis and discussions. A sample population of Yoruba married women between the ages of 18-49 years and the sample size of one thousand (1,000) respondents was drawn from these set of respondents in both rural and urban areas. The areas covered were five local government areas including Abeokuta the state capital.
Interview and questionnaire formats were used to gather data from the respondent using formulated questions derived from the title of the research work.The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics which includes frequency and percentages; Chi-square test of association was also done to determine the difference in the various views of the respondents.
