INTRODUCTION
DEFINITION: This is the process of cooling a defined space for various applications such as preservation of products in a domestic, commercial or industrial setting. The temperature attained is influenced by the storage and maintenance requirements of the product to be preserved. The process creates a refrigeration effect at a source while delivering heat to a sink.
