ABSTRACT
The research work on “Increasing Agricultural Output Through the Activities of Co-operative Societies in Enugu Stateâ€, using Agricultural Co-operative in Enugu East as a case Study was carried out of survey the part programmes and policies constituted by government to mobilized peasant farmers into agricultural Co-operatives and the functional ones more productive as a way of facilitating the attainment of self sufficiency in agricultural output.  The constraint that affects the achievement of the objective of the agricultural co-operative and how it affects agricultural co-operative in Enugu East Local Government Area was identified.  These include use of crude oil method of farming implement, poor member education and high level of literacy among members, inadequate storage facilities and marketing outlet, individualism among Nigerians leading to unwillingness to pool resources and work together and excessive control of government leading to over dependence on government initiative and financially to curtail those constraints, improved and adequate condition has to be put into consideration between the state and local government authorities.  Unpredicted change of the government should be avoided trained personnel should be employed as this is the only way of achieving the objective.
