IMPLEMENTATION OF STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL (A Case Study of Beta Glass Plc., Ughelli Delta State)

This study was to investigate the method and application of statistical quality control in the operation and production of glass bottles in Beta Glass Plc. A secondary source of data was used through the method of review of records and the control chart quality control tool for mean, range and proportion defective was used to analyze the data for this study using SPSS. Result on the non-conformity indicated that the process defectiveness was under effective control while that of volume capacity was also in control. It was therefore concluded that statistical quality control is inevitable in production organizations and hence recommended for adequate use.
