ABSTRACT This research work has been set to ascertain the nature of financial management practice of government companies and the problems they encountered with particular reference to Niger gas limited causes of such problem s and recommendations are not left out.    The fundamental characteristic of this research work lies in the three basic aspects of financing management namely. Investment, financing and divided decisions. The intention is not to cover all the details of financial management but to discuses those topic that are relevant to effective and efficient financial management in government companies.
