ABSTRACT The purpose of the study was to find out the effects of participatory decision making on teachers of Bole Senior High School. The study used an action research design with 25 teachers involved in the pre-intervention, intervention and post-intervention stages of the study. A questionnaire was used to collect both the pre-intervention and post intervention data. The study indicated that participatory decision-making in Bole Senior High School helped teachers to not only to grow professionally but also improved the teachers commitment and led to greater acceptance of decisions. It is recommended, among other things, that the study be modified and the scope widened to cover all senior high schools in the Northern Region. It is further recommended that methods of energy should include interviews so that teachers can be protected for their views especially on finance and admission of students.
