The people of awka-north, Anambra State, Nigeria have been living in Ilorin, Kwara State for decades and even though these group of people represent a small portion of the Igbo community in Ilorin, their impact to the social and economic development of Ilorin have not been noticed nor acknowledged. This study highlights the contributions of many Awka north indigenes living in Ilorin, Because many of them have become major stakeholders in the economic growth of Ilorin.
