ABSTRACT
This research is concerned with the impact of Nigerian deposit Insurance Corporation on the banking industry. This research is intended to reveal and evaluate the program made since the inception of the corporation as well as area which might be some short coming. In an attempt to correct this unhealthy development the regulatory’ authorities i.e. The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) have devised various ways to implemented many’ novel polices to check this drift. However, my method of collecting data and the analysis have been based on both parameter examination and the use of questionnaire. Conclusively, there is need for the corporation to come promote independent credit rating agencies to check the menace of professional debtors already the NDIC and CBN have stated that these banks should give their corporation to ensure effectively extension of programs this will prevent bad debtors to borrow from another banks while still indebted to one, to avoid contamination the healthy bank NDIC should remove all terminals distress bank in Nigeria.
