Design and Implementation of a Web Based Course Registration System

A Students Web Based Course Registration System is a subsection of the Management Information System (MIS) that obtains its input from the transaction processing system; a subsection of the Business Information System (BIS).

Business Information System (BIS) is the base of a Management Information System in any institution with the sole aim of integrating human, business and technology together in order to achieve efficiency in the execution of duties, thus the MIS provides information that is required to manage an institution efficiently and effectively.

The computer system has the ability of collecting, manipulating and storing data for reference purposes and easy accessibility, it does these with specific set of software and hardware components meshed together to function as a single unit. Therefore MIS having these attributes  can hence be referred to as a computer  system with various component working together to help manager manage an institution effectively by generating technical reports which serves as information, providing managers with the insight of the internal working of the organization.
