DECLINING OF INDIGENOUS MORTUARY PRACTICES IN IGBOLAND

PREFACE This work “the declining of indigenous mortuary practices in Nigeria†aims at showing readers how our indigenous cultural practices such as burial and mortuary practices are beginning to fade into the background.  The Igbo people have rich cultural heritage including their mortuary and burial practices, which are beginning to be kept aside by the new generation. This work helps to show the cause of this decline and also helps the reader to see how rich the cultural heritage of the Ibos are.
