The word "muthos or mythos" which means word, speech, tale, or story; essentially a myth is a story, a myth might be a story that narrated orally but usually it is eventually given a written form. A myth also might be told by means of no word at all e.g. painting, sculpture, music, dance and mime or by a combination of various media as in case of drama, song, opera, and movies; however a definition that is widely agreed upon is that myth is a traditional story.
