COMPARISONS BETWEEN BROTHEL BASED AND NON-BROTHEL BASED FEMALE SEX WORKERS

INTRODUCTION:

The Female sex workers (FSWs) are females who sells sex (Transactional Sex), they are classified into:

i.                     Non-Brothel Based Female Sex Workers (NBBFSWs), who operates on the street, red zones and hostels

ii.                   Brothel Based Female Sex Workers (BBFSWs), who are resident in an identifiable place.

Both groups have different opportunities as well as threats in the discharge of their duties, some of the opportunities includes being able or not to indulge in extra activities like schooling while some of the threats may include not enjoying support from colleagues when in need, not knowing your clients and their destinations etc.
