COMMUNITY BANKING SYSTEM IN NIGRERIA AND THE PROMOTION OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT

ABSTRACT This topic that is being treated (Community banking system and their promotional development) is very important to our present economic condition if people will blend with the result and findings of this project. Community banking is a self-sustaining bank owned and managed by communities for the purpose of providing credits, deposit banking and other financial services to the members of grass root.  The aim of this project is to know how community banking operate and also her role in community development. In carrying out the research, instrument like Oral interview and questionnaire and personal observation will be used to collect data. If only the findings, conclusion and recommendation would be applied, will increase the moral of the bankers in promoting rural development and will help people to appreciate the efforts and impact of the operation community bank in their various areas.
