An Analysis of the effectiveness of Nigeria Procurement process

Public procurement can be viewed as a useful for delivering public goods and to facilitate economic development where they are practiced. The subject of publicprocurement is vast and covers a wide range of economic sectors, encompassing the needs of governments to function within its established capacity and delivering the much needed services to its citizens. The fundamental basis for this research study is to examine the Nigerian procurement system and evaluate its effectiveness and impact on the economy. This study shall examine the Procurement operating models adopted by the Nigerian Public Sector by evaluating a cross segment of government Ministries, Departments and Agencies in Abuja.
