ABSTRACT
Data were collected on the following number of leaf, number of leaflet, days of germination, number of petiole, number of nodes and number of internodes, there were no significant difference (P = 0.05) on effect of nursery media on leaf number and leaf let number according to table 9. The experiment to determine the influence of seed scarification and nursery media on Juvenile Phenology of African oil been was conducted during the 2012 planting season at the Department of Agronomy and Ecological Management Enugu State University of Science and Technology Green House, Enugu.  The experiment was land out in a 3 x 7 factorial in completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 replicates.  The treatment comprises three types of seed scarification viz: control, partial scarification and total scarification and 7 nursery media: viz Top soil, sawdust etc. Data were collected on number of days to plant emergence, plant height etc.  The Pentaclethra macrophylla seeds were also quantitatively analyzed to determine the proximate and mineral composition.  The results obtained indicated significant (P < 0.05) difference among the treatment and the nursery media.        TABLE OF CONTENTS Title Page Certification Dedication Acknowledgement Abstract Table of Contents List of Tables
